Beauty of The Week: Roberta Cooper
- Written by Super User

Roberta resides in the Cascade Community in Atlanta with her husband, Robert and one daughter. She was born in Bridgeton, NJ and raised by a single mother after her father passed away when she was 13 years old. At a very early age, she learned the value of responsibility as she assisted her mother with her younger brothers and sisters. Despite the challenges, Roberta also learned that serving others in the community was natural as her mother often feed other children in the neighborhood along with her own seven children. Roberta learned to overcome adversity through faith, prayer, perseverance, and persistence.
In high school, Roberta was elected Secretary of her senior class. She earned a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Goldey Beacom College in Wilmington, DE and a law degree from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, DE where Vice President Joe Biden served as an Adjunct Professor of Constitutional Law. Roberta is a member of the Georgia State and Superior Courts bar, Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the New Jersey bar.
For the past fourteen years, Roberta has dedicated her legal talents to help protecting the constitutional and civil rights of people ranging from victims of domestic violence, employment discrimination, victims of mortgage fraud, to juvenile justice and the rights of abused and neglected children. She is a community ambassador for sexually exploited children who are arrested for prostitution and a supervising attorney providing legal representation to abused and neglected children in Fulton County. Roberta is an instructor for the children's church at Bethel United Methodist Church in Atlanta where Rev. Lee Pendleton is pastor.
